Welcome to Women's Ministry!

We are glad you are interested in The Salvation Army Women's Ministries, where we have a group just for you! The Salvation Army Women's Ministries encompass various opportunities for all women to be valued, encouraged, equipped and invited to catch the joy of Christian faith and fellowship. We would love to have you join us!

Our History...

The Salvation Army Women's Ministries began in 1907 as the Home League, with a four-fold aim of worship, fellowship, education, and service. It was designed to bring women to Christ and to encourage spiritual growth. The Ladies' Home League Ministry has expanded and continues to thrive all over the world.

Our mission is to provide an opportunity to win women to Christ and assist in their spiritual growth, nurturing an awareness of the needs of the family, the community, the nation, and the world.

Making friends as an adult is not easy. Yet, we are designed to be a part of a community, we crave it.  We desire to be known, to be heard, to be accepted, to be welcomed and to be loved. This is why The Salvation Army Alma Corps launched Embrace. We felt and heard the need of women to be connected to a community that accepts them where they are in life: single, wife, mother, grandmother, single-mother, married with no kids – there’s a place for you in Embrace. We meet one Sunday a month at 1:00 PM at The Salvation Army. If you have any questions or need a ride call, 989-463-2864.
